Finally I got my hands on yet another CLYW yoyo masterpiece, the CLYW Manatee. JD Steele at YoyoBestBuy let me borrow the Manatee to try it out and to give it a Throw Score review. My original intent was to return it after the review but I decided to keep it after throwing it around for about a week.
|Bearing Size||C Size|
|Gap Width||4.20 mm|
|Response System||Snow Tires|
The Manatee is very smooth right out of the box. It leans on the heavier side at 67 grams. It is a metal yoyo with a bead blasted finish. The color way is super cool. I was able to get the teal and red blend but when it spins, the yoyo actually looks like gun metal gray.
I have scored the yoyo in the video below and have laid out the total scores at the bottom of this web page. I added a new category that scores the yoyo’s stability while at play. I simply put a range between Floaty and Stable. The higher the number the more stable and the lower the number the more floaty the yoyo feels.
The CLYW Manatee is easily a “goto” yoyo. I highly recommend it to any serious yoyo player. It is a must have.
Check out the Throw Score video of the CLYW Manatee and let me know what you think.
