TopYo is a great Yo-yo company! Working with them to produce this awesome throw has been an honor.
Together we are happy to bring you a yo-yo that will help advance your skills and bring you hours of enjoyment. This is an beautifully crafted Yo-yo, artfully designed with the yo-yoer in mind.
Having a signature yoyo is something that I’ve dreamed of having ever since I started yo-yoing. After getting sponsored by TopYo, which is also something I’ve always wanted, I thought to myself “What if did a collaboration design to make a yoyo that’s just right for me?” and sure enough, the owner was very open to the idea!!! I took some of my favorite yoyos and processed what I liked about each of them so that I can have one yoyo with all their traits. And then after three prototypes, my signature was born!!!
After I had the prototypes in my hand, I had to come up with a name for this yoyo. While watching a Scales Collective podcast, I kept hearing them say the word “meta” over and over again. So I texted Keiran Cooper and asked him what the word meta means. He told me that it’s a term most gamers use which is ” a strategy that the majority uses to win” and I thought to myself “that’s what I want my yoyo to be, a yoyo that people use to win” hence, outcome the TopYo Meta.
In this video I unboxed the TopYo Raiser along with a sponsorship package!!!
First off, congrats to Eugene Joh for getting sponsored by TopYo!!! Welcome to the family brudda and I’m super happy for you, and for me too cause I’m not the only one in the U.S. anymore haha.
The yoyos I got in the package were new color ways of the rimmed silenus, impulse, and photon, along with the new TopYo Raiser.
The TopYo Raiser bi-metal is a very smooth yoyo. I noticed that it plays very fast and very light. The inner rims give it good rim weight so that the yoyo isn’t too floaty. the open shape allows the yoyo to handle techy tricks very well, it also allows it to play horizontal pretty nice as well.
Overall this is an all around bi-metal throw and I highly recommend it!!!
“Most Effective Tactic Available,” that is what the name means from today’s Urban Dictionary. The approach to the design is not far from the definition. I wanted the yoyo to be able to do speed, tech, finger spin and just about anything I throw at it. The result definitely will not disappoint.
In this video I unboxed the latest release from YoyoFreaks the SuperFreak Bi-metal Yoyo. The Yoyo will be released on Saturday, June 23, 2018. This is carried exclusively by YoyoBestBuy.
The unboxing was done in anticipation of the release of this yoyo. The video starts off with a friendly warning from yours truly. Let us keep this postive. The reason, well there was some yoyo drama flying around, that frankly, I do not care to entertain. We already have too many stresses in life and to have drama with the thing that most of us use to “destress” is not cool.
The YoyoFreaks SuperFreak is a smooth and powerful Yoyo. I measured the specs of the yoyo myself and came up with a weight of 66 g, Width of 45 mm and a diameter of 57 mm. The shape is an “H” shape yoyos which is a fairly popular and highly functional design shape. It has an embedded stainless steel ring in cup of the yoyo that makes a long powerful spins.
After playing with this yoyo for a while, I highly recommend it. The yoyo does it all. Oh did I mention it has a finger spin cup? Yes it is a little flat around the cup but once you get it in there, it is awesome.
The quality of the yoyo is superb. For a high quality bi-metal yoyo priced at $77, this is a “Steel!”
Even better, get this throw for $69 (an additional 10% off). Use coupon code “LorenzYo” at the check out 🙂

In the unboxing video, you can see the yoyo up close and in motion as I take it through various trick combos. It is in that video that I demonstrated using the yoyo in regular play. Duncan’s approach to designing the Windrunner is admirable, they wanted to make an aesthetically pleasing yoyo that is affordable and easy to play. From what I have experienced so far, Duncan is right on point with the Windrunner.

In this episode of throw score yoyo review, I reviewed the popular yoyo from SF Yoyo, the Cadence. The Yoyo was provided by Keiran Cooper from the SF Yoyo Team.
The SF Cadence is a fun and awesome Yoyo. It is a monumental yoyo made of 7068 Aluminum. The texture is sand blasted smooth. The shape is a V shape that tapers nicely out to the rim. It has a solid feel and pretty much can do anything you throw at it.
I liked this yoyo a lot. The design is simply functional yet powerful. You can definitely spend hours getting lost in the flow of this awesome throw. The only issue you may run into is getting one. The cadence has been limited in its release and at the time of this video recording is out of stock. However, there is a restock drop on Yoyoexpert on the 7th of June. You can also visit the SF Yoyo website for more information.

The following videos are the official Bay Area Classic Yo-Yo Championships 2018 videos provided by LorenzYoCubing.com. The contest was held on May 26, 2018 at Jack London Square in Oakland, California.
The following video is the premier of my long awaited collaboratively designed signature yo-yo, the TopYo Meta, aka ///TOPYO//META\\LYC\\\. It has been a few months since the idea came and now it is finally here. But first why call it Meta? Check out the meaning below.
“Most Effective Tactic Available,” that is what the name means from today’s Urban Dictionary. The approach to the design is not far from the definition. I wanted the yoyo to be able to do speed, tech, finger spin and just about anything I throw at it. The result definitely will not disappoint.
Besides function, TopYo and I discussed the quality of the yo-yo. We wanted the it to be beautiful, like a piece of art. The surface has to be smooth. We wanted it to be glossy yet will not stick to your skin when playing. The Meta has a sand blasted feel, but has a finish similar to Yo-yo’s two to three times the price.
Speaking of price, we wanted to make sure that the yo-yo will provide value and hours and hours of fun and use. That means, lots of enjoyment without breaking the bank. The price as of release will be around $40.
The TopYo Meta is a solid design. It has a powerful feel while at play. This is due to the emphasis on the rim weight. That means, it will spin to your heart’s desire. To balance out the rim weight, a great deal of attention was dedicated to the shape and weight in the middle as well. In fact, thorough testing and tweaks were made from the conceptual design all the way to the various prototypes (Mark I, II and III).
The resulting production model, with all the hours and collaborative work with TopYo was definitely worth the wait. So without further a do, here is the TopYo x LorenzYoCubing (LYC) designed yo-yo the Meta. Please like, share, comment and subscribe.!
