Thank Vanilla Mint is the trick I performed in the slow-mo video in a previous post Everything Is Cooler In Slow-mo Even Vanilla Mint.
In this tutorial I used yoyo named Expedition by BaseCamp. The actual yoyo is here below:
In this yoyo trick tutorial, I perform the complete combo at a slower pace. This is to show you the details of the various elements of the trick. The viewpoint starts of from the audience point of view.
I then switch to the yoyoers point of view. This is the meat of the tutorial. The pace of the trick is much slower and I have broken out the elements in steps. From this viewpoint, you can see the intricacies of the trick. You will see where to land the yoyo, what string and even what finger position to use to throughout the combo.
After the step by step yoyoers view point, I switch back to the audience view and execute the yoyo trick combo at its intended speed
The yoyo trick seems complex, but with this video, you should be able to follow the steps. With practice, you will be able to add it to your combos.
Horizontal yoyo tricks are pretty cool to watch and satisfying to execute. When I started playing yoyos I could not do any horizontal tricks until I started paying attention to others who can do it well. Once I analyzed the movements, arm positions, strowing direction os the yoyo, it finally clicked.
In the video I used the Yoyo Factory SHU-TA seen here:
In the video you will see various ways to throw the yoyo an perform horizontal tricks. You will see how to do a horizontal break away, a horizontal front throw and some horizontal yoyo tricks.
This video is a tutorial for the Kamikaze yoyo trick as requested by Dejieric Magunalig. It was a happy birthday request.
In the video I used the YoyoJam Revival which is no longer available. It was a good yoyo made of plastic with metal rims.
The trick starts with a Houdini Mount, which is like a Double Or Nothing but with the use of your thumb when the yoyo comes around. When you land the yoyo, you will pop it up and land it in the middle string. Now you have the Kamikaze mount. This is a good start, now watch the rest of the video to complete the trick.
This bind is an awesome bind and it’s one of my favorites. It belongs to Alex Berenguel. This video is in response to a request from Yoyoman52. I used a Rec Rev Octave yoyo in this video.
Here are the 3 easy steps to perform the Bind:
Step#1: Go into an under mount, then double it.
Step#2: Throw the slack from your yoyo hand around the yoyo. You are back to a normal under mount.
Step#3: Throw the yoyo inside your arm and bind.
This is my first tutorial video, the Cold Fusion Yoyo Trick tutorial. To make is easier to learn, the steps are broken down by moves. In the video I used a yoyo by Magic Yoyo named N6.
To execute the trick follow the steps below:
Step#1: Go into a “Double or Nothing” and put both your thumbs inside the inner string so the yoyo will thread through the strings easier.
Step#2: Thread the yoyo into the first outside string above it.
Step#3: Thread the yoyo into the next outside string again, but this time pull you non-yoyo hand index finger out of the string, This will lead you to a 1 1/2 mount.
Step#4: Throw the yoyo over to your non yoyo hand, bring it back, then do another rotation to your right.
Final Step: Do two rotations to your left, land in a “Trapeze,” and end the trick with your favorite bind.
Watch the video for the complete trick and yoyo movements.
