The newest YoyoFreaks Yoyo finally arrived and I thought that I would try it out by taking it outside!!! #HashtagPromo haha. So the YoyoFreaks Hashtag is a miniature sized bi-metal yoyo that is designed to be really good at fingerspins. Even though I have not done a ThrowScore, I can already say the performance of this yoyo is very very high.

The video is a trick video from the “Yoyoers” point of view using the YoyoFreaks Hashtag. According to YoyoBestbuy.com, the yoyo will drop on May 17, 2017. Remember there are only 100 of this series, it is a short run so do not miss this one.
Check out the promo video below and let me know what you think.
Okay guys we are going through this cycle again because I have received six new yoyos from yoyobesbuy and I’m ready to start unboxing and reviewing these!!! In this unboxing I unboxed the new MagicYoyo Carpfin.
When I first took the yoyo out of the package I immediately noticed that there was some weight to the yoyo. I also noticed that the face of the yoyo looked just like the face of the YoyoFactory Shutter. When I first threw the yoyo, it was dead smooth. While playing with the yoyo, it is more on the heavier side. Even though I can keep a constant pace while doing tricks, it doesn’t carry out speed combos that well, because of the weight. I think that this yoyo was designed to do techy tricks at a constant pace, sort of similar to the styles of Yuuki Spencer and Zach Gormley.

Grinds on this yoyo are fine. The only grinds that I had trouble with were inner cup grinds for example talon and thumb grinds. The reason I had trouble with those was because the inner cup was glossy as opposed to the rest of the yoyo which is bead blasted. Since it is glossy, if you grab the inner cup with your skin, the yoyo will whirl around. I recommend that if you are going to to inner cup grinds then use mostly your fingernails so that the metal won’t snag on your fingers. horizontal finger grinds are okay because you already mostly use your fingernail when you do a finger spin.
The MagicYoyo Carpfin is a good yoyo for a player that does techy style tricks at a normal pace. Grinds are okay as long as you use mostly fingernail while doing inner cup grinds. Overall, I highly recommend this yoyo.
Many of you in the comments keep asking questions like, Why don’t you compete? or Why are you not competing? and You Should Compete.
Lorenzo if you competed earlier you would have been sponsored already. That is not really true. Renzo how come we do not see you on stage during competitions. Well, let me tell you why. Actually you know what let me show you why?
Check out the Video and let me know your thoughts.

“100 Yoyos, 10 Color Ways, 1 Time Run,” that is what sums up YoyoFreaks Your Mom. This is directly from the site http://yoyofreaks.com/.
With the plethora of yoyo companies and yoyo models out there, YoyoFreaks is doing something different, quality versus quantity. This is the brain child of JD Steele who created YoyoFreaks originally as a site for yoyo videos. Now it is a site of the 100 series and after they are gone, they are gone.
I managed to get my hands onto this limited edition yoyo. My first impressions recorded for you in the video linked below. Without spoiling too much about my first impressions, I would say this about the Your Mom, exciting.
Check out the unboxing video of the YoyoFreaks Your Mom 100 Series and let me know what you think. Throw Score yoyo review to follow soon.
It is official, today February 12, 2017 the website is launched, http://lorenzyocubing.com . It seems time flew fast. Just a couple of years ago I started my youtube channel and now we launch an actual site on the internet. Pretty cool indeed!
What better way to launch the site than a video. This video is a way for me to introduce myself officially to the world.
It starts off by a quick introduction then I talk about how i got started with yoyo tricks. I even shared my thoughts on what is important to get better at this hobby and advice for kids who wants to get started.
I brought my Duncan yoyo bag that day. The bag contains my favorite yoyos. It is hard to imagine that I started with the DV888 which I like.
This video is different from the ones we posted before. We visited a friend of my Dad in his production studio and I was blown away. Actually my Dad was blown away because between him and I, he is the one who geeks over video equipment 🙂
In the studio, we shot video of tricks from different angles and scenes but mostly outdoors. This one was the only one we shot indoors.
The setup was fairly simple, there were two side lights and a black backdrop as the background. At first I thought, hmmm this is different. But it was not until I saw the video footage that made me realize how cool the shot was.
You know I cannot name yoyo tricks and in fact, I am one of those players that says it is just a combo. But since this video is full of new things, lighting, background, indoor video footage, the music, I am going to name it. Let me call this combo Vanilla Mint, because it is cool and refreshing like the breath mints sitting on my desk 🙂
The trick itself is straight forward but technical in nature. It involves string slack control, speed control, and finishes with a picture trick. As if the shot was not cool enough, when I was editing it, I saw something that made it cooler, slow motion.
